March 2018 Report – San Francisco Real Estate Market Update for February 2018


The number of homes in the Overall Sales category sold in FEBRUARY increased from the previous month as well as a year ago in the San Francisco Real Estate Market. These numbers reflect the homes sold (for the most part) in the previous month given a typical 30 day close. The average sale prices were less than the previous month but more than a year ago. The percentage increase of average sold price over the average list price were more than the previous month but slightly less than a year ago. Average days on the market decreased by 14 days from the previous month.

What do these numbers all mean? Single family homes UNDER $2M sold (on average) OVER the asking price by almost 19%! In fact, all the categories we track sold for more, on average, than the list price. As always the San Francisco real estate market which continues to perform EXTREMELY WELL!

If you are thinking of selling this is still a GREAT time to SELL and an even better time to BUY!
