April 2018 Report – San Francisco Real Estate Market Update for March 2018


The number of homes in the Overall Sales category sold in MARCH increased from the previous month as well as a year ago in the San Francisco Real Estate Market. These numbers reflect the homes sold (for the most part) in the previous month given a typical 30 day close. The average sale prices were more than the previous month as well as a year ago. The percentage increase of average sold price over the average list price was more than the previous month as well a year ago, . Average days on the market decreased by 7 days from the previous month as well as a year ago.

What do these numbers all mean? Single family homes UNDER $2M sold (on average) OVER the asking price by OVER 19%! In fact, all the categories we track sold for more, on average, than the list price with the exception of cooperatives. As always the San Francisco real estate market which continues to perform EXTREMELY WELL!

If you are thinking of selling this is still a GREAT time to SELL and an even better time to BUY!
